About Coach

Lauren began her CrossFit journey in 2018 at CrossFit 352 in Gainesville, FL, while pursuing her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida. With a background as a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and group fitness instructor, she quickly transitioned from athlete to coach, earning her CrossFit Level 1 certification in 2019. Over the next three years, Lauren coached and trained consistently, even through the challenges of the pandemic, growing both as an athlete and a leader in the gym. In 2022, she stepped away from coaching to move to Colorado, where she continued her fitness journey as a member at CrossFit NCS. That experience deepened her appreciation for the sport and community of CrossFit. In 2023, Lauren relocated to North Carolina and joined CrossFit SERVE, a community she immediately connected with for its welcoming, supportive atmosphere. Now coaching at CrossFit SERVE, Lauren is passionate about making CrossFit safe, fun, and accessible to all. She believes in the power of movement, the importance of community, and the idea that fitness is a personal journey, one that should be empowering and adaptable. Known for saying, “Fitness is your journey, and you get to decide what direction you go,” Lauren emphasizes autonomy and inclusivity in her coaching style. Her favorite CrossFit movement is the clean and jerk for its combination of strength and coordination, while the snatch remains her least favorite, though she embraces it as a challenge to grow. Outside the gym, Lauren and her husband run The Bike Library in Raleigh, NC, a bike shop that also serves as a coffee spot and community hub. Her dream adventure? Bike-packing the Pacific Coast Highway from Canada to Mexico. And while she doesn’t carry a gym bag, Lauren never forgets the most important tool for training, her body.
